GAME SET MATCH

Emi Kim Solo Exhibition
01 - 17 May 2026

Graduated from Daegu University, Kim is a full-time artist based in Seoul. Known for her clean lines, vibrant palette, and minimalist aesthetic, Kim's work often draws inspiration from personal experiences and memories, creating profound connections with viewers.

In her ongoing 'Game Set Match' series, Kim explores the tennis theme rooted in her childhood memories, offering a nuanced examination of growth and transformation. Each piece reflects a refined approach to space, structure, and visual balance.

Building on this foundation, Kim's latest body of work expands into the world of racket sports with remarkable stylistic evolution. Her newest tennis and pickleball series showcases her signature minimalism at its most distilled - geometric court perspectives, flattened planes of saturated colour, and precisely rendered equipment that floats against bold, monochromatic grounds.

The works capture the essence of leisure and competition through an almost architectural lens, where the rhythm of white lines on green, clay, and blue courts becomes a meditation on order and play.
